240 - answer me dead serious.

If its Palin v. Obama and UE is still 10%, health care costs skyrocketing, another terrorist attack occurs, Obama takes a shit on the vets, tries amnesty again,

Who do you go for?

UE could be at 40% and 240 would not vote for her, as he has his head too far up Keith Olbermann's ass.

For it, it is no doubt, even if its richard ramirez or BTK Killer, they have my vote over Obama.

I think she is going to run, and unless Thune hops in, I am going for her over Romney, Huck, etc.

Despite the valid reasons, I don't believe she's electable.  I don't think she'll get the nomination.

I would normally agree, but at this point who even remotely can generate the star power she does?  Hucklebee?  Myth?

I alread said I want Thune, but I think everyone knows deep down that everyone wants to see Palin v Obama head to head since she has guts, balls, and the fire in the belly to take on this revolting grifter like no one else.

For me, its all about who wants, has desire to, and will take out the trash in 2012.

you repubs would support vandersloot if he ran.

you wouldn't say "noooo youre a bag of shit - stay outta the race!"

you'd say "it's cool brah, anyone but obama".

Unfortunately, there is that middle 20% of voters who will realize they're looking at an overconfident religious zealout like Palin - or a crappy candidate like Obama - and they'll just stay home.

You live/breathe right-wing politics, 33.  Thta middle 20% does not.  Palin is a Punchline to them - you know this right?  They don't like obama, but at least they do believe he's smart enough to do the job.  60% of voters (edison/moffit/FOX polling) in 2008 thought she was too stupid - and she hasn't helped her cause since.

no educated republican would vote palin under any circumstance.

if nominated i'd sit out the election.

Buck.  Romney.  Newt.

I believe that while their policies aren't all that great some of the time - they possess the intellect, maturity and composure to hold the job.

Palin?  She's pure emotion dude.  It's that simple.  Flying off the handle, tweeting about this and that.  Wonderful.  Imagine that as president.

i can't possibly imagine anything worse than we have now with a POTUS supporting a mosque at GZ, terrorists in NYC to stand trial at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars, passing laws that impoverish the nation etc.

But that's me 240, you love Obama despite the absolute horror movie this has been for working people and businesses.

A training-wheels president who uses emotion as his/her primary decision making tool is a very dangerous thing.

We had it with obama.  like saveg says, let's not do it again with palin.

I think Thune is the best choice personally.

He is smart, mature, good looking, can unite all factions on the right, is not prone to gaffes, and makes a very good presentation.

The good point - which you and I will likely agree on, 33..

In 2007, the 'rock stars' of the GOP were Rudy and Fred Thompson.  GOP voters were wise enough to see Rudy and mitt talk shit to each other like a couple of Maury Povich guests... and they chose the calm, de facto mature candidate on the stage - mccain.

So while palin gets all the praise, it's likely her emotion will get the best of her in the debates with Romney, huck and friends.  As they all scream "lib!' at each other and remind one another of past lib sins... Thune stands pretty as the only guy up there with an ACTUAL CONSERVATIVE VOTING RECORD!

I like Thune too, but the fact is he is not running, so it doesn't matter one bit what any of us think about him.

Once again, Sarah Palin is our next President.

240 - I admit i am to the far far far right, so take what i say for what its worth.

I think when people see Thune vs obama they will see a mature guy vs a trainb wreck,  a stable conservative middle america guy vs a kenyan marxist, a guy who does not want to transform america vs a guy with delusions of granduer, a guy who hunts, fishs, etc vs a guy with a pocket protector, a guy who has traditional values vs a guy who has international valuers, a guy who seems well grounded vs a guy who hung out with domestic terrorists, etc etc.

I just see palin as 10% better than obama.  Only she's also erratic and emotional - obama is checked by whatever powers... Palin?  Dude, I think her ego is so big that she'll be responding from emotion - not from her brain.

Look at her on tv - EVERYTHING she says is from HEART - not her brain.  Do you think she'll just take office and suddenly turn off that erratic auto-response mode, and suddenly be some careful, analytical decision maker?  NO!  She's going to be just as erratic, just as over-confident.

I'm just saying there are plenty of anti-obama candidates with stronger mental ability, and a hell of a lot less emotion.   I like an emotional actor, but I don't want an emotional barber, know what I mean?  For jobs that are CRITICAL, I'd like a person who isn't tweeting double standard on the R-wrd or mocking made-up words on twitter constantly.  Her fast fast reactions to things worry me.

That's fine, but i try to look at issues.  Would she push obamaCare?  Yes or no?

Would she support the mosque?  Yes or no?

would she support terrorists trials in NYC?  Yes or no?

would she propose $823,000 for African ball washing programs?  Yes or no?

Etc etc.
