NO WAY would Tua have beaten Tyson in his prime. Tyson was on another whole different level, in terms of skill, fitness, aggressiveness, and ruthlessness. Tua packed a strong punch for sure, and he has a thick Samoan skull which makes him hard to knock out. But he is nowhere near the class of Tyson in his prime.
PS - I have seen both of them in action, and actually met both of them. Both are actually really nice guys.
Tua fought much better competiton and beat better competiton.

They share a common opponent in Lewis and Tua did much better considering he fought with several broken ribs.
