I don't need blue stars. I just say it to stir the moderators. I mean, can we imagine Ron up there in posing trunks? Never. The rules and privileges should apply equally to everyone. Where are Goodrum's blue stars? Ron isn't consistent. A guy competes so he deserves blue stars.

I'm sure Ron could pick his own judges as well, and come out with a title...what a accomplishment!

Well, Chick you have to be in the know. Roz and I had to go and pick the trophies! Does that sound like I bought my own trophy too!

I picked 15 judges but 13 were there. Ken Rivard got 5 and I got 8 first place votes. I picked intelligent, independent, experienced and unbiased people. Chuck Sipes picked me which I felt good about. It was a close contest and I was surprised that I won.
Chuck killed himself hope it had nothing to do with this event just joking you had a good physique back in the day.

Happy Birthday. Wonder if Goodrum will wish you a good day?

Yeah, Bob, just like you when you accepted the trophy over hapless Rusty Jeffers. Talk about a travesty.

Would you believe it was my job on the day of the contest to take Chuck Sipes, the guest poser and head judge, to English Bay Beach? I wore my suit and behaved immaculately. Did any of this help me win the contest? I have no idea. I learned from the Mr America contest that bodybuilders had to present themselves properly if they wanted to get fairly treated by the judges.

Compare that behaviour with what Bob does. He makes sure he is mates with the guy running the pro shows. I guess he isn't as daft as many people think. It is who you know in this small sport.

Some of you guys harvest the internet for photos even I don't have. You know, when I was a teenager I was extremely fussy about what I liked in girls. If they had any fat on their legs I noticed it and it turned me off. Some years later the big legs and hips started to excite me. Nowadays I like them much bigger. I still appreciate the shapes that most people like. It wasn't too long ago I saw an absolutely perfect and hot figure. She was an instructor in a gym on the north shore. I swear her hips were only 32 inches or less but she was built like a Barbi Doll. So there are heaps of attractive shapes and you never know what your preferences will evolve to over the years. Experience helps the process. If you don't have much you can't expect to grow. Most guys just like what everyone else likes. Yeah, those gals are nice but sometimes we get wired to like something different. You have to admit that not many women fancy big muscles and yet we all train hard trying to get them to impress the gals. Seems counterproductive.Very few guys have the confidence or nerve to be seen with larger women. You sure get some huge women in America. I don't see them that big over here. Not even close.

Here I am with my Dad, Frank Basile. He was born in Italy and emigated to Canada in 1926. A great guy who really cared about his family. Mum took off when I was 13 and left 7 kids behind. Dad looked after us by himself. Not many men are like him. This was taken a year of so before the Mr Canada contest. I was natural for the first 11 years. My Dad never understood my lifting weights but he was sure proud the day I won a couple contests and a bunch of trophies.

Basile, you really should not have said that you picked 13 of the 15 judges for the Mr Canada.

But Happy Birthday... ;D

No, actually I dont...

And what part of Basile picking the judges for a show HE was competing in, and representing any company that sells supplements, have to do with each other??
