suicidal.

even if he's in control himself he can't be sure what unexpected things other drivers does.

you ever hear of the maxton mile, or the texas mile?.....if not i would check it out....i have done the texas mile 2 times.....i have done several standing mile racing comps...but some of the stuff you see at maxton, and the texas mile are insane...and street legal..

Amazing!  Don't understand how that is even possible to go 254 mph on two wheels or how you work up the balls to try it.  Why even wear gear though?  There's no way in hell you walk away alive from a crash that fast.

How much money do you suspect he has into that bike?

The issue I have with both of them (and anybody else who is pulling a stunt like that) is that they are putting families and other people at extreme risk
for their own personal enjoyment.

Pretty sick I will give it that. Can't compare to the skill it takes to ride moto and supercross though.

stock gsxr 1000 bikes ever since 2003 for sure tires can go 185mph.....no problem..thats the bikes top speed stock and they know people modify them to go 195  all the time i race these bikes in the stock superbike class in the ama so i have a good idea of what they can do...no bs speeds either  at mid ohio race way almost every lab on the back straight i hit 192 on my stock tires that i use in practice..

Never heard of it.

Like i said, the engine is not the problem, the tire is.

Do you use race tires when driving on the street? It's forbidden in Europe (not that anyone would give a shit that wants to drive over 250 anyways, but as far as i know, even regular race tires are not built for speed over 300 or 330. (forgot which)
you dont need them....its just a special compound drag tire thats approved for street use...add in a tire warmer and your rockin...

you have to throw in a TRE because the factory limits all top speeds at 186 miles an hour as part of a gentleman's agreement after the hayabusa was made....

you would be surprised...i have seen wreck at over 200mph at these events with some walking away with as little as a broken arm...

i have a bike similar to that.....including the cost of the bike i have around $20,000 into it....keep in mind i did my own turbo kit, and lots of other stuff so i kept the cost down considerably...

GhostRider is a legend I've been into since I was street racing cars in the late 90's/early 2000's from what I remember he came out on this underground dvd (way before youtube) called Getaway in Stockholm , there were 5 or 6 parts to it, using highly modified cars. The first ones featured a crazy TT Supra and I think he started using the bike in the 3rd one..it was mostly based around Stockholm/Sweden.

And to settle the other question, it's been out on the net for a few years now that GhostRider is Patrik, there's a ton of sites confirming it and he is part of the Swedish Wheelie Team

Either way, the Black Devil dude is impressive and on his way to becoming a legend like GR

also, GhostRider's official site..

Why doesn't dude just race on the track? Is it the lack of skill? I mean, more money, plus he has the cache, benefits, and he can go as fast as he wants in a "controlled environment"...

Blowing by cars while they are lined up at lights and not going at autobahn speeds...is not impressive...
Have dude trying to test a Bugatti...

LOL you're way out on this one dude...track is boring and static... 1/4 mile or even doing the twisties pales to blowing by cars on real roads at any time you want.. the track is the same, the layout/shape doesn't change.. this is thrilling and exhilarating because you're not limited to a few km strip or loop

I don't I  have a bike, but blowing by VW Beetle is exhilarating? Or blowing by a bunch of cars at stoplights? I would think that racing against Rossi would be more exhilarating, you are going against the best. The mentality and the concentration of racing for your team, the manufacturer...which is why many non racers have brand loyalty...

There is a vid where this dude has a stock R1 trying to catch up with a Veyron on the autobahn, and we know how that played out.

Since I live in a area with tons, and tons of bikes, and that it is a area with some of the worse gridlock in the nation, i've seen dudes blow by cars standing while in traffic, and yes go in and out, and yes accidents...

And then, there is a big thing in Baltimore with dirt bikes, these kids (and young men) ride in groups as large as 100 during rush hour traffic and cause accidents, deaths and they steal the bikes. look up the 12 O'Clock boys on youtube...

i dont understand what would drive someone to do something like that

every one of those cars he passed a was gamble.......all it would have taken is for some chinese lady or indian driver to make some crazy turn without their blinker (like they do all the time) and it would have been curtains for him

what scares me is ending up quadriplegic not so much death..........

he wants to take chances with his life that's all good but he could very easily kill a bunch of innocent people in the process , that what track days are for and he could have driven at dusk or dawn when no traffic is around

You're crazy.  I wouldn't peddle a bmx bike in between cars like that let alone fly through them like that on a motorcycle.  An unexpected merge, jaywalker/ jogger, turn with no blinker, door opens, hand goes out a window, someone throws something out the window and knee jerk reaction causes a wreck.  What that guy is doing is insane.  You figure he probably has a foot of room on each side of the handle bars to work with.  Way more impressive than just going fast on a track, and he threw some high speeds in too boot

That actually shocks me.  With all the high tech stuff they were showing on that thing and the kind of speeds it can do and it's about as much as a nice Harley?  That trips me out.  I thought the response was going to be around 75-100k

So after checking out the "12 o'clock boyz", and hearing that the identity of Ghost Rider is confirmed, I guess I don't understand how these guys aren't in jail.  The 12 o'clock boyz don't even appear to be driving licensed bikes.....many are on ATV's in the street.  How is this allowed to go on?  Is there no community outrage about groups of kids pulling stunts through public streets there Parker?  That shit would cause an uproar if it was happening here.
