2010 Olympia - Pose Down = 50% of Final Score

how the hell can they tell who actually won the pose down round? that's complete BS.  it looks like a new way they can determine the order of the top 6.  since the judges meet after the 50% pre-judging...they can easily say amongst each other 1-6  and it's a 2nd dose of BS chick that you pushed for no point value in individual posing.

If there is any transparency or accountability in the judging then there is no way of knowing it. The amount of information on the scorecard, if anyone hasn't yet noticed, has gotten less and less over the years. In future, all you will have will be a single number for each competitor...

I mean, it's amazing that there are some in the industry who would consider this kind of judging procedure to be an improvement.

watch the rxmuscle closing show.  everyone except lonnie   had jay 2nd after pre-judging, but the judges had jay 6 - 9 over phil  

basically...the 2nd night is worthless.  it should be free admission.  obivously...kai improved from the video and should/could have moved up.

Posedown is USUALLY not scored... its for the fans for entertainment and usually the scoring is finalized before and posedown is used as filler timer for the judges to finish calculating the total score.

i'm aware of this but they attached pt values, 5, 10, 15...30...so they can play switch places and re-order the top 6 after meeting with each other after pre-judging.  since the night show is BS...it should be FREE admission. it was determined the night before.

You are correct and it is near impossible to make an objective judgement in the posedown with them running all over the place.
However, based on the typical norms of modern pro BB , the judging was good this yr.
They have never followed the actual, written rules across the board.
It is, what it is and I enjoy it.

The "Posedown" isn't the part were they play music and walk around hitting random shots. It's the actual last call out (quarter turns and mandatories)

They only compare the top 6 from friday night

However, based on the typical norms of modern pro BB , the judging was good this yr.
They have never followed the actual, written rules across the board.
It is, what it is and I enjoy it.

25% howard and the hell with chick.  you can make guys hold all the mandatory poses for a minimum of 5 secs in the individual posing so their routine is done around their mandatory.  they do this in fitness with no problem.  so what is the problem with the men?  manion got his hands in too many jars because somehow he is 1# at NPC and chair over at IFBB and is too tied into the sponsors and magazine. maybe they hire an independent firm for the O and A.  BS!

so you are saying the judges are smart enough to score girls hitting strength moves and mandatory in high octane fitness routines but they are too f@@king stupid to see if a guy hits a front double in an individual posing round.  you are full of s##t and the men's division is still fixed judging BS.  phil was ahead after prejuding and kai moved up after posing.

and dex is complete and branch has a torn lat.  how does that work because it didnt work for ronnie in 06?

dont tell anyone that manion jr girls keep winning fitness.  i'm surprise tanji doesnt walk off stage.  she does more leg work for fitness than anyone.  and btw chick body wise tanji has caught adela and once again killed her in the routine only to get 2nd again.  yeah...i know it aint a manion jr management thing. 

what's the record of his girs in figure?  i bet it is better than a 70% win rate.

I agree with chick that the prejudge and posedown (final 6 comparisons really) should be 50% each and posing round shouldn't be scored.

The problems I have is throwing out the top 3 and bottom 3 scores (too many being removed why not just one high and low score?). By taking away that many they are increasing their error due to smaller sample size.

The other problem is why can't they judge the top 10 at the posedown and not just the top 6? The guys from 7-12 really get one callout in the morning and that is it.

Reminds me of a gym not far from me run by some interesting characters... supposedly they have twice as many members as they actually do... seems they have some cash they need to "legalize" somehow by using phantom members.
