Prohibition creates more problems than anything - regardless if it's to do with the supposedly terrible drugs like marijuana out there. The more the law clamps down on that shit, the more lucrative the profit margins and the more violent the drug related crimes become. It's dead fucking simple, legalize drugs and abolish the black market. Law makers want to push their narrow minded, archaic and propagandist agenda and it hurts the very people they aim to protect. It's worse than the actual substances themselves!! Not to mention, drug dealers get fucking loaded and never have to pay a dime of tax dollars towards this ass-backwards war on drugs.

I'm lucky to have not gotten any trouble when I've been busted. Got caught with a lb because of a sketch stand-in drug dealer I met with when I went to pick up a sac. Cop obviously kept it for himself and didn't file any paperwork, so I guess it "never happened". It benefit both of us.

Sketchiest time was when I got busted for just an oz of the best weed in the world (I say this with confidence - I'd rather have this than 10lbs of the 2nd best weed in Canada). I went through a road block that was just about to call it a night and the cops gave us the good cop bad cop routine but it scared me shitless because one guy was a weird ass new hire cop. We ended up talking about Dragonball Z and really weird shit and hour into their interrogation so I had a feeling I might be left free. My friend was a retard and had powder, rocks and a scale on him but he was let off too. Drove my ass home with my tail between my legs, thankful that I didn't get busted because I just got hired at a great new place. Opened my glove compartment to see if the cops made a mess, but they actually left a nugget in an empty pill container I had in there. I laughed my ass off and knew those fuckers were probably getting off third shift and lighting up a joint of the best weed they'll ever smoke in their life. Kind of bitter sweet.

yep it's all BS but I am at a loss on what to do.  I will be starting drug court Friday for 15 months for possession of weed.  No booze, no weed, 5 meetings a week, 2 piss tests a week, 2 probation office visits a week, community service...etc.  I have never been in any trouble before and have a degree, job, house, married,  but I have to go through this shit or be on Felony probation for 5 years.  I am only doing it because if I lose my job then it would be really hard to get another one in I.T. with that record on there.  I hate this fucking country and I fucking hate all of the people who sit on their high horse judging people and making their lives hell.  Fuck YOU !!!!!!!!

Unless you were running a large scale marajuana distributing enterprise, theres no way you should have to go through all of that if you've never been in trouble before.

I know how ya feel. People have no idea how much it sucks until they've been through it. It's so great when it's over. It's like you're almost free again.   There's light at the end of the tunnel. You just gotta get there and sock it to the man when you can. (legally of course)

I was not running a large distribution enterprise.  

This is reality dude.  I had 2 lawyers.  The DA would not budge.  Of course I could do 5 Years probation and then not have a record but that is a long time of not being able to do anything so I opted for Drug court which will expunge everything after completion and it will never show that I plead guilty to anything even while going to drug court.
I was just a pot smoker who had a little too much in my possession.  The way I see it is they saw an opportunity to get some money from me because I couldn't afford to potentially lose my career.  Yeah, you have to pay to go through this hell.   .    I am certainly no drug addict and never was.  In my opinion, I should be the last person who should go through this.  I see other pieces of shit who have a long list of offenses over and over who get 2 years probation.  Fuck it man.  Nothing I can do.  With people like me in the program their completion % will go up because we are responsible and will finish.  This keeps feeding the machine to justify their existence. I feel like Dave Chappelle in that movie Half Baked when he went to that NA meeting...lol.
