Did anyone else feel disappointed with Kai

I felt for the guy yesterday, it looked like something went tits up last minute. I'd still have him ahead of Wolf and Rockel. There's some shots of his front lat spread from the night show and he looks insane. In my opinion he was flat yet carrying water in the pre-judging and dry yet flat  on the night

and even though he is as crazy as a shithouse rat, i respect the work he puts in day in day out and his level of dedication in the gym

kai has looked like shit for the past 2 years.....he was always rewarded because he looked like "striated" shit...this time he looked like "bloated" shit....and finaly placed where he belongs....

the guy used to have a awesome build....but he has rapidly got rid of that over the last 2 years...

I think he was probably stressing about water, hence all the layers of clothing in photos and it backfired, as this can make the body cling onto it even more. You can see this at the pre judging, he is shredded, but he doesn't have the deep separation  from optimal cellular balance.

Photography at bodybuilding contests is always challenging. The black bodybuilders are darker and this affects camera settings. I think the shots of Kai that we saw were slightly overexposed and this wiped out some of his definition. When I did some darkening in Photoshop Kai looked significantly better. So be careful when making judgements from looking at photos alone.

just got off the phone with Kai.  when asked about the fan disappointment, Kai proceeded to list the recipe for Eggs Benedict, then delivered a spoken word soliloquy on the origin of the universe.

He was deterimned to show up BIG and he was , BUT he didn't get in condition for the win. He got what he deserved.
Being able to put up BIG numbers on the pre show scale is no ideal way to win the Olympia.
Lou was a lot heavier than Arnold in the 1975 Olympia and got last out of 3.
He will be back and perhaps learn from his mistake. He is far from all done and can do a lot better next yr.

By doing this how do you know you are not making him look better than he actualy is ? he got 7th for a reason.

oscar arden was saying Kai came in 2009 too small and flat although he was in condition.

this year they wanted to brign in him full and big but looks like his condition suffered

people ahve to remember, it doesnt matter what you weigh on stage or @ teh weigh in, its how you look on stage

He hasn't dialed in his conditioning since the 2009 AC. He's not done yet but he should change something. His conditioning was a big part of what got him good placings starting with his 3rd place at the 2008 AC.

as my mom noted...bbers are greedy. i wouldnt be  surprise if kai downed 7-8lbs of food 2-3 hrs before he hit the stage...but he looked good the next night after it digested.
