Dex looks nasty. Imagine hime with another 20-30 pounds same lines an inch or two taller he wouldn't look human. Phils left side always looks a little bigger.

I think Dexter could do his double biceps better. If he could contract his abs instead of having them bulge then he would place higher. Even a vacuum would be better than the weird abdomen look.

Isaac Hinds took the best shot at the Olympia this year that I have seen. I will post his original upsized shot and then my Photoshopped version. I thought the background a bit distracting so painted it out. Hope Isaac and BB Com don't mind.

Phil Heath had the near cartoon hero look that Jay had last year.

yeah thats a really cool shot and good tip on the arms vince it does give that tri thickness and adds to the 3d look of the pose,,, the jay from last year is cool too,,, those big arms of phil help him overall, attatch that "type" to jay there and thats strong rite there

Basile is right about Dex being the only one who knows the proper way to do the front standing "relaxed" posed. It looks so much better and doesn't flatten out the delts. Also, doesn't make you look like a third grader mocking a bodybuilding and the way they stand. Really, sucks about the calves though. Only thing that doesn't make it near perfect. I guess all that igf peptide site injects leading to localized growth is a bunch of bull.

If he turned his arms a bit more to show more triceps he would look even thicker and better. Frank Zane was another guy who knew how to stand 'relaxed' in the lineup.

Other than calves (which is I think is a major detraction), the only thing that Dexter lacks is that three-dimensional look to the upper body. I think he ought to work on doing a vacuum when he poses to help lift his ribcage up.

Also, in his back poses, he should place his thumbs outside his fingers, clenching the fist in the usual way. Some bodybuilders have this weird habit of placing the thumb between the index and middle fingers. Dexter is guilty of that and I think it tends to draw a bit too much attention to the delts. A rear double-biceps shot ought to have a seamless flow between the shoulders and the back. In Dexter's case, the shoulders tend to pop out a bit too much and I think the way he holds his fingers exacerbates this.

The thing about this classical posing detail is that it creates interesting illusions with the physique. Competitors ought to be rewarded somehow for being able to understand how to present their phsyiques in the best manner. In that way, you wouldn't have them looking, as mentioned in a previous post, like a third grader mocking bodybuilders and the way they stand.

Are Dexter's calves just genetically that bad, or do you think he just doesn't put the effort into them?  I can't imagine a professional bodybuilder neglecting a muscle group like that.
