Cool Anderson Interview...
« on: September 29, 2010, 10:17:39 AM »
On the PEDs allegation against Chael Sonnen:
Actually, when the news came out I… I didn’t notice [during the fight], I couldn’t tell [he was on something]. It’s sad for the sport, I think it was an unsportsmanlike attitude. But the commissions will take care of this and I hope this serves as an example to other athletes as well.

When asked if Chael was his toughest fight, he neglected:
No, my toughest fight in my career was against Hayato Sakurai in Shooto, my second toughest fight in my career was against Rich Franklin, it was a difficult fight for me. He’s a smart fighter, he knows the correct moments to throw the strikes and where they are effective.

On the future of his weight class:
There are many great fighters in my weight class, in my opinion, Nathan [Marquardt] will be the next champion in my weight class. Demian [Maia] is also working his way up and could become champion in this weight class. Palhares is also maturing a lot with his past few fights. But in my opinion, Nathan [Marquardt] will be the next champion in this weight class.

On why he will not be fighting at LHW anymore:
Last time I spoke to Dana, he told me that the only way I’d fight at LHW again is if I was to move to LHW permanently, only fighting there. So for me, those who saw [me fighting at LHW], saw me, those who didn’t won’t get another chance to see that anymore.

Fuck him. What a disingenuous turd. Rich Franklin was his second toughest fight? Is that a joke?

What about Vitor at 185?

So many guys have juiced in MMA and have been caught-- so who cares? Everyone in Pride juiced, we know now that Carwin juiced, Lesnar obviously juiced before, Overeem juices,  Leben and James Irvin got caught and then there are tons of guys who have gotten in trouble for recreational drugs also-- The Diaz brothers, Parisian, etc.. Im sure there are tons of guys on gear in the UFC right now that know how to beat the test or that are taking undetectable shit.

I hope that this serves as an example= I hope he loses his license for a year so that there is no chance of a rematch.

I agree..can't stand Silva/Soares.  He disrespects his fans all the time in his interviews with sarcastic statements like this that he intends for people to believe.

EVERYONE uses PED in professional sports to some degree. You would really be foolish not to when it's how you earn your living.

Train harder/longer and recover from training and injuries faster. PED's also prevent injuries in some instances when over-training is involved.

Again, as a professional athlete you need to realize PED's are REQUIRED. You are selling yourself short otherwise.

BUT with use, comes the NEED to be able to test clean. If you fail, you deserve to be busted for being so ignorant.

Then you have people like Sherk who cry foul and waste everyone's time and money. All along the guy is an obvious abuser....not just a user.

Look at his last fight against Dunham...Sherk's physique is MUCH different. Hmmmmmm. Stupid fool.
