I think Zoltan Bathory is a pretty talented guy but something about this band always seems really really safe to me.  I really like the new Avenged Sevenfold though.

They still wrote the fucking song, and in it's day it was considered damn good.  FFDP changed like one verse.....the speaking part.... as far as I can make out.  All they did was add more bass and make it harder.

I believe they are using a drop C tuning,  could be lower though.
