who feels guilt related to dieting?

the only time you feel guilt is when you break the diet, or gorge

If the pressure to succeed from all sources over just going with your individual desire, then yeah, more people would succeed on diets. It is like quitting anything else that you truly want or don't want to quit, you must truly believe in the value at hand.

Most people go on diets for vanity, not because they really want to deep down. They feel like they HAVE to.

Guilt about eating what you love to eat, sometimes even in excess.

I think one thing you have never understood about a lot of people and dieting (this includes me) is that excess is too easy. If I have a cheat day...I don't just have 3 pieces of chocolate; I have 20. It is hard to just savour a little bit....anyway.

The mind plays an important role.
I suspect there are people out there who get fat by just thinking about food....

...and on the other side of the spectrum you have folks that lust after the KitKat - oblivious to all shame.

I don't know what the fuck he's babbling about.

If anything you feel proud over yourself for sticking to a diet.

He's basically saying (I think) that if you allow yourself more freedom in your diet and don't make it a 'sin' to eat foods you consider bad, then your dieting will be easier. It's the psychology of dieting like that, which he is referring to (the temptation of sin as a parallel to eating 'bad foods,'  for example)

I think you can have more freedom in your diet and still lose fat (mainly the first weeks),  but that does not mean you can eat kitkats everyday... we all know what happens lol.

wait. So if gluttons don't feel guilty, they lose weight?
so if lustful people don't feel guilty, they will never get laid?

Doesn't apply to all of them of course. But I think it's a big obstacle.

Not this BS again.

If more people would love to look like a little girl, they would diet like you.

Don't make it as if not eating shit all day was a big thing, because it isn't.
