UK Socialized Medicine
« on: October 04, 2010, 08:03:56 AM »
Is this true?

In England no one over 59 can receive heart repairs or stents or bypass
because it is not covered as being too expensive and not needed.

This comment was passed along to me during a discussion over the weekend.  Anyone have any proof of this?

::)

England is about as backwards as you can get. Meanwhile, jobless immigrants with a dozen kids live in multi-million pound mansions that are funded by the English taxpayer. Awesome system they've got going on.

In a neo-liberal, secular society and welfare state, the elderly, the disabled and the unborn babies don't matter.  They are a "burden to society."  They would put them all to sleep if they could.

So Europeans would kill their elderly if given the chance? :o Are you stupid? Do you honestly believe that?

I don't think so. I googled uk elderly heart survey and found nothing except a few stories of elderly receiving care.
