"Something deep inside" is not a name that will generate a lot of acclaim around here.

was alright but didn't evoke any emotion and the song doesn't really help that either.  would work better with orchestra type music and some actual footage of some type of triumph rather than random video clips.  The effects were pretty good but you over use that negative thing just to tie it in with the music which should have been tied in with the footage itself and not some cheesy effect.  Keep making videos bro but not Zhansi quality.

Well, not much you can do with random bodybuilding clips besides make a random video with rock music. Wish I could say more but that was essentially the point haha.

This is a motivational video...

and to whomever made the video that started this thread, it was like watching paint dry, try another hobby because you're horrible at it.

i gotta agree with stormshadow

there really wasnt much motivating about the op video----the one nirvana posted was way better.  I think non-show shots such as offseason or training or candid shots are far more motivating than just sticking up still pics of competitors mixed in with other stuff.  First video not good at all

I'm not trying to be discouraging, your editing was good but you gotta use the clips to tell a story.. that's why the dorian yates one is so good.
Without a point the content is flat.

Respect the comments, just not sure what you're trying to imply. You complain that it is a random video of bodybuilders working out with rock music, then point to the video nirvana posted, which is a bunch of random clips of bodybuilders - working out.

And also, at least I actually liked the video nirvana posted. In my opinion the dorian video was about as fun as watching paint dry - in slow motion. Music that i've heard on about every other video and about half of the video was just random stage views that looked like somebody stepped on an old video casset and then stuck it into a vcr.

I like the criticism but if you're going to say why you didn't like the video, don't point at another video that is exactly the same and say how it is much better for employing ...the same things that I used. Not sure if you watched the video the whole way, but it was only pictures for the first 20-30 seconds, then there was buttloads of training.

And to the above poster, what story did the dorian yates video tell? It refers back to what I wrote...

Heres one of Zhasni's videos, its of Andreas Munzer. I like how he does that fast montage of Munzer pics at 2:40 and how it goes in sync with the song. He uses a great song for the vid too. Watch and Learn OP.

can't take criticism i see..  I don't much care for the one nirvana posted so you're just assuming what you want.  The Dorian Yates one is not just random, it shows one bodybuider training for the Olympia and what it took for him to get there.  Culminating with his win of the Olympia.  So in fact it tells a story and no longer becomes random clips. (This is what i'm trying to imply)

I can take all the criticism in the world, but when i'm puzzled on what you're trying to criticize, don't get upset if I'm confused. If you want to put it that way,  you could say my video represents how far bodybuilding has come with work and determination. It shows, in chronological order, the old school bodybuilders faded up to the newer ones, and the drive it takes to win (as seen when Jay Cutler lost and was driven to come back and win it halfway through the video)

And scarlett, again I accept criticism, but what you're trying to teach me to learn I've already done multiple times in the video. You talk about pictures matching with synchronization. That is your criticism for me. So, in return, I'm asking why you're criticizing me on the timing aspect when half of my video is just that. It just makes me wonder if you even watched halfway through the the video I created. Hell if you want almost an exact match to that picture roll, go to 4:20 in the video. It has every mr. olympia winner, in order of the year, sequenced to the newer generation.

If you feel that it just did not show a story visibly enough, I accept that as criticism, but if you want me to show me what I need to do to have a more story-telling video, then you should be posting something documentary grade for me because I personally just didn't see any storyline in the Dorian video that popped out any more than a storyline would in mine.

Now those are examples that I will accept your criticism with. I guess I tried too much to let the song and the clips do the talking and should have stuck some bodybuilder commentary or quotes.

But yeah, the dorian video - nada haha.
