Yes we still do digital rectal exams, although they are only as accurate as the one doing it... and depending on what the issue is, there are other ways to evaluate the prostate such as PSA levels etc I believe the recent literature recommends having your first one done at 40 years old, if you are otherwise healthy with no family history of prostate ca.

haha yes Show , my father went to see a Little indian doc for a prostate exam and assumed the position and felt the tearing pain from insertion, he then got worried when all of a sudden the doc's hands appeared on his shoulders
