The Pasadena City Council approved a $152 million renovation to the Rose Bowl Stadium on Monday, the AP reported.

The 88-year-old stadium will get 2,000 more luxury seats, a new scoreboard, more bathrooms, and more concession stands.

In the interest of not disrupting any UCLA home games, or "The Grandaddy of Them All," the construction will take place over three phases and is expected to be completed by 2013. It will be financed by bonds, profits from previous games, and federal stimulus money.

I would prefer they either dont spend it in the first place, or spend it on factories and means of production of goods and resources like mines, quarries, or other things we can use to sell overseas.

It seems like 90% of free money goes to bullshit 'art' programs that 99.99995 % of people could give a shit about.

Lots and lots of people care about the rose bowl.
