Muscle soreness?

I've been training now extremely consistant for almost six years now!  I can't recall missing more than a handfull of workouts.  With years of training under my belt, after I train a muscle group it still gets sore and takes a few days to recover. Today I was asked about a good post workout supplement. I recommended cell mass told him I've been using it for years and it seems to help speed up recovery and take away the soreness quicker.  He looked confused and said since he's been training for over 15 years now he doesnt  gets sore anymore!  But this isn't the first time I've had a long time lifter tell me this. so will there be a time when the body gets so use to training that the soreness stops?  I've always felt If I didn't get sore then I didn't train hard?
