I hate this roaring shit. I also hate the harmonized guitar effect in the first video. For me 80s style guitar rock can never be matched. Guys like malmsteen, satriani, evh, slash, clapton, zakk wylde setthe bar so high it can only go down. That blues meets rock brown sound for the first time era  will never me matched again

Re: Pyramaze-

Holy shit! I was vey impressed with this song! The part when the child spoke amidst the music was haunting.

This is a very beautiful song! Reminded me of Queensryche but heavier. Amazing lyrics!

Yep, it has that progressive QR sound, with a great vocalist. The singer in the video for Tad Morose is now the singer for Pyramaze.

Stuff a little heavier.

Always loved Soilwork.

Metal is not dead. There are other great guitarist following Dimebag Darrell's lead

Here is a sample. Listen to the solo. It is fuckin awesome!

If you like great guitar riffs and solos then you must listen to this band and if you liked Pantera you're going to love this guitarist:

Please don't mention slash and wylde in the same sentence as malmsteen and satriani.

Ewa, here's one more same band:

Where did you guys find these talented bands?!

I love the guitar work!

This is what is missing in today's metal scene. Its missing excellent guitar skills

I hated when grunge hit the scene...thats when skills started to disappear and guitar solos have become a lost art.

Im glad that there are bands such as these that keep metal and musicianship alive!

Rock/Metal is huge these days. The scene is better than it's ever been and yes, grunge should be buried and forgotten.

Yes there are still bands out there with excellent instrumental skills, but they are just not very well known. Its different than the 80s, when these bands were at least a little mainstream.....but like you said, that changed with grunge, etc.

I was lucky to be introduced to this band (symphony x) by a friend. I never would've known about them if it wasn't for him.
