Can somebody post the coffee shop scene between De Niro and Pacino from "Heat"?  Possibly the best movie drama ever filmed.....?  (Not to mention also having Jon Voight, Tom Sizemore and Val Kilmer)...

Yes!  Thanks Newmom .....it is brilliant ...beautiful....Supremel y special!

And I read that De Niro and Pacino never rehersed this scene.... it was a one-off one-take.... and Director Michael Mann called it a wrap after that one take!!!!!

I can't believe none of you suggested Ricky Shroeder from his final scene in "The Champ" (1979)....

He was just 5 years old at the time......

Grant, you didn't say if you liked Training Day but my nephew appeared in a "one man play" with Ethan Hawk and has the utmost respect for Ethan because every time Ethan got accolades for his role in that play or invited to some major shindig with the Broadway big-wigs, he suggested that they also not overlook my nephew who played an important but small part in that production.

Most stars simply forget the supporting characters, but Ethan was definitely not that kind of guy.

And I agree with ya on Ricky Shroeder especially for his role in Lonesome Dove.

I didn't like Training Day ...I loved it!  It's one of my all time favorites that I can watch repeatedly ....along with Heat, No Country For Old Men, Braveheart, Legends of the Fall....and a few others....

Ethan Hawke is supremely talented.  I love when big names still do Broadway plays even though there is little money in it.  It shows their passion for the arts!

Lonesome Dove is one of the most under-rated classics of our time.... and Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones are exceptional in it too....

(I have your emails and i promise to reply.  Sorry for the delay)

No Country for Old Men....... One of the few top grossing movies I disliked and I still don't know why everyone else thought it was so damn good.

I think I might have disliked it mainly due to the last scene where he talks to his dad and it didn't seem to fit.

Anyone care to explain why I failed to understand that ending? I'd appreciate it.

Here's a trivia question for you movie fans ....

Who said, "The kid stays in the picture!"?
Who did he say it to?
What was the name of the movie?
Who was the major star?
Who was the kid?

Dr Chimps will be coming up next!

Ditto.

Same goes for the even more atrocious 'There will be blood'.

A similar paced movie that I liked was 'The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford'.
