True.

Imagine if more people can get their hands on some juice.

A few people cant afford it and some just dont have the resources on obtaining it.

Bodybuilders arent really that special. Some just fell into fame because they had the resources and had help along the way.

Imagine if people had the resources and steroid use was legal.

Imagine the possiblilities...there could besome people out there that can make today's current pros look like nothing

You think that if steroids were legal, everybody in streets would run 100m under 10 seconds?

Yeah right  ::)

No, but there would be alot of people that can probably break many records.

What I am trying to say is that a lot of pro bodybuilders are an exception because they have the ability to obtain the drugs, afford good nutrition, have the ability and resources to train, ect

You have to have the "enivoronment" in order to make you successful.

If people could have this, you would see many people who would make today's pros look like nothing.

Do you understand what I am trying to say?

Sorry, but i disagree.

Steroids are legal in many countries and have been in the US before, and not much has changed since then. there weren't more or better Bodybuilders or athletes around in the 70s and 80s, and there aren't 100s of thai bodybuilders because steroids are legal there.

I disagree with you.

Some are not able to eat good foods, be able to eat high nutrition, or have the financial means to be that successful in this sport.

Example: brazilian fitness chicks (the white looking girls), you can tell that they use drug enhancements. They are much more sexier than the US figure girls. Some have the means to live this lifestyle and afford certain drugs

I understand your point here. Although I don't completely agree with you.

Same saying goes in every aspect of life; if that and this then I could've been this or that.

Dont you think that many of today's successes is based on "opportunity".

This is to include examples of millionaires...some became millionaires because the time was right and because some had the means to do it.

The same could be said of bodybuilders. Some just have the right opportunity to make it big in the sport...couple that with good genetics, be able to get drugs, be able to afford food, ect...

come on, steroids are dirt cheap and food is as well in a lot of countries, and in all countries you also have wealthy people that could afford it.

The fact is just that, even IF steroids were legal and cheap, not a lot of people would go so far as to inject themselves just for fun several times a day with different hormones, swallow other prescription drugs to fight the side effects and so on.

It's not the money or availability that keeps people from looking like pros, it's the extremes these people go to. You have so many gym rats on steroids in the US, and i think lots of them could spend a lot of money on steroids, but they just don't want to go further.

For example, i spend a lot of money on high quality food, i could get much more food if get got a lower quality, and in Japan steroids are legal for personal use, i could import as much steroids as i wanted, and money is also no concern here.
But why should i do that? I'm not interested.

Yes, i heard from a guy in the gym that "you gaijin have it easy, you can speak english. You can order steroids online, i can't read english so good."

If that's the biggest hurdle, i don't wonder why the guys in the gym are so strong.  ;D

Most Throwers at that level are beasts.  Look up Christian Cantwell, Lance Deal, Adam Nelson, or a few others.

In the old Golds in Santa Monica I saw Tony Pearson pressing 100lb db's and start posing, big guy.  Then the most ripped dude was working some legs turned out to be Les Galvin, veins everywhere and I think he won the california that year.
Then Robby was working his arms with some lady and everytime he moved a muscle popped up amazing.
Kent Keuhn put my sister on his shoulders for a pic and he was a thick guy too...

No...when Gunter was off the drugs, he looked like an average guy.

I saw him at the Olympia expo walking with his wife in 2009 and he was not impressive at all

Its amazing how much these guys shrink when they are off.

Especially Melvin Anthony. He looked like a normal negro off the sauce!

So?  I'm saying when I saw him, not 5yrs after.....

Yes, Melvin is pathetically small of the juice...he's not even really that big on.

I've met quite a few pro's that have been into Gold's Venice.  Ronnie was by far the freakiest human being I've ever been around.  Jay was pretty impressive, size wise, but he didn't really have that freak factor Coleman does, no one I've ever seen has that.
