He's been around for a few years...mostly independent labels, press and ship local. People don't realize how much money can be made staying independent. You made a few records with a computer running Cakewalk and a microphone in a closet, burn a few cds and make a few T-Shirts and website and you're in business. Play a few local bars and watch the money come in if you're good.

He's not signed to Eminem, was signed to Columbia in 2007 according to wiki but left.
