ha! truth in that, but ironically theres also so much money in it at the same time!

the portuguese introduced football(soccer) to Brazil(portuguese colony). a huge population with athletic ability, natural flair and dance in their culture(african roots) plus a desire to escape the shanti towns for a better life through it, produced magicians

but overall, they appear to love it and excel in it naturally, a real laid back, natural good vibe that brazilians possess transfers into their football

maybe our brazilian members can expound on this..?

you're the most realistic. with poverty only second to africia...it's works like an athletic avenue similar to football and basketball in the states. you can say same thing for cubans and baseball, and africans and running.

ronaldinho's youth story is no different than any other poor youth story in his country. 3 hot meals and housing and an opportunity to play at jr level.

yeah...it's their only real big sport with 185M focused on it...so...

P.S. South american's are pro at it period. If you had all the spanish speaking SA's against brazilians you'd have a pretty good match. Fucking uruguay with only 3 million had a sic team.

btw...it's not an avenue for south american girls so junior teams are dog shit, do nothing at the U15, 17 and 20 levels which are dominated by euros, usa and asians.

Anyone in your country can try out for this "sissy" sport. They would get paid well too. The truth is that you don't have anyone in your country that could get on any NFL team.
