I like the way you think... I wish others that come the United States have your way of thinking. This would Actually be the land of the free if other thought that way when they get here...
also, as someone mentioned, you get a certain amount of "white is right" mentality when you're born a white man in america. which is fine, and the way it should be. but he mentioned there's a certain amount of inferiority or whatever complex as an immigrant.
Even though my parents were "well off" (as well off as you can be in a socialist regime), their only dream was to make it to america. when the opportunity came, they dragged my ass over.
I spoke english when we came here, but my parents didn't speak a lick. Now , decades later, my mom's turned into that foreign woman who won't shut the fuck up in public just to show off how good her English is, even though she's butchering it all over the place. But seriously, my parents caught on to the fact that the more they assimilate, i.e. the more they dig their claws into the american way of life, the better off they'll be.
now my old man and i are doing very well, better than most. the people that came with us are still stuck in their old ways, and are still living 6 to an apartment bagging groceries, voting for Obama and hoping one day a big check will come for them out of the sky.
