ok flex...the ninjas dont mean shit but how did you let mcquay pull Dre from under your nose? i guess they call this an owning on getbig.

once you hook up with a guy like Dre...the six figure clients just rain down on you. a lil opportunistic Asian...he is. nice going flex...who has the brand name and the physique

All Flex got was a a spot in Boss' video, and a visit from Dre while he was in the hospital. Obviously Flex wasn't thinking or didn't see the cache of being involved with the West Coast hip hop scene. Especially now since image is everything. To be truthful, Flex had a more promising bbing career than Stan ever will, so Stan had to do other ventures.

But, with Flex's genetics and image, he could have made connections on both coasts within the Hip Hop world, missed opportunity.

Of course he does not, it's someone else's . But Stan from what I've heard has made some good money hustling his image and training Dre and 50 among others.

That and or getting results. Dre has gained weight...bigger arms, chest, traps. 50 has always been into lifting, and he had a incident a while back with being caught with steroids in his trunk.

With all the training that Charles Glass has given Flex, and Flex being one of his "disciples", and his relationship with the hip hop community, one could have guess he would have jumped on that chance. But maybe his ties were severed due to his 94 incident and he never kept in touch.

The thing is Stan was always an opportunist, bbing and competiting was NEVER the means of his income, he only did it as a "hobby" and to get notoriety for his other ventures which was magazine/cover spreads, his personal training business, etc.. From what I've seen he is very successful and this was the mindset he always had when he started with this "sport." He is definitely a smart guy, I don't know Flex much, but from his vids and mentality that he presented I am not surprised he is where he is today.

As far as physiques go, yes he did deserve his pro card, a little bit undersized compared to many other pros, but it's his structure, shape, and balance that got him thus far. You can say a classical physique in the modern era. Also he got screwed this Olympia as far as placings go.

That is Dre's private jet. Dre paid Stan to travel with him and train him while on vacation and other promotions. Warren G was the other client Stan was training that was on the plane as well.

He also trains and is good friends with Tanoi, the Rock's cousin, the one you see in those pics.

i was at the nats in 06 when he "won" his pro card. he was gifted.

I always find it hard to believe how people with money need to be "trained", especially dudes who make a image off of being hard, whereas the one's in prison just lift weights. How hard is it to buy some mags or some weights and lift?

Interesting discussion....but you're comparing apples and oranges.

Flex CLEARLY wasn't business minded. I think for him hanging out with Dre, partying with him, being apart of that scene was the intention rather than capitializing off of the connections.

Flex was late 20's early 30's when he peaked and was actually making good money from BB'ing. He just foolishly spent it all.

I don't know much about Stan but I DOUBT he was making his main income off of BB'ing.
