Im not anti-Wheeler, but the guy was awesome, he should've been mr O, if he wasnt lazy, he knows he looks like shit, and pretty sure it fucks with his head, and he must regret those tats.

Flex relied to much on his genetics and he would go half-ass in training sessions and diet , he admitted this much , I think he started out extremely hungry in 92 and 93 and then after the accident he lost focus and discipline and drive , I remember Dorian training the first time he came stateside in 92 and he was at Golds and saw how all the Pros were ' training ' and he was in disbelief how lackadaisical they were and he said he was going to make them all pay for it lol very laid back on the west coast to many distractions , they always said the east coast was more hardcore

I think he is still doing as many drugs as he can without dying. He is as muscular as he can be considering he's sick. I don't think the downsizing was by choice at all - he's still trying to hold on to as much as possible.

Being muscular becomes one's identity and it's extremely rare that one can let that go completely. Which is why so many continue to abuse their bodies even after many warning signs and poor contest results. It's an addiction.

I agree to a point, but this can't be said of all retired pros. 

Shawn Ray for example has stated he doesn't train anymore and he doesn't follow a nutrition plan either, I doubt he is still on juice based on how he looks now.

It varies a lot. On one hand we have guys like Coleman, Nasser, etc. who are still at it even retired; on the other hand we have Dillet, Prince, Shawn, etc. who don't anymore.

Ronnie was freakier than Nasser though and Nasser from the back was much too weak. I should add that Freak size with conditioning wins but within reason or yea, you'd have guys like NAsser and Ruhl dominating.
