I respect your opinion but I disagree.  I feel the only part of it that's a choice, is acting on it...I believe we are born to like females, male or both...your genetics determine which of those...I don't think at some point in a persons life they decide to become gay or switch.

good point but it could also be argued that everything we do is choice and that includes heterosexual and homosexual acts.  

I prefer the idea that like a god/alpha male I choose my own destiny.  I'm subject only to the limitations I create.  Lesser men like to put the onus of their unhappiness on others by blaming biology, society, their parents...

one oculd argue that there is no such thing as "we", "I", or "self", that people as we currently think of them do not exist at all.

one could argue that the only that that exists is a brain capable of recieving and organizing sensory information, and responding to new sensory information based upon the past sensory information it has collected. acting solely on the need for self preservation, utilizing pleasure and pain as the guiding forces for all actions.

so yes, one could argue that "choice' does not exist at all, as choice would require an independant being acting upon its own "will", not determined by anything but the "persons" own choice. which doesnt make much logical sense, if you look at the idea from a purely logical viewpoint.
