I would think if it was that inexpensive as you imply off the top of your head some company would have already been going to the moon and making a profit.
Lol it'd cost about a trillion bucks that ain't no cheapy. No billonaire alive could fund that mission however Elon Musk founder of paypal and tesla motors is getting us their.

That's about the same as the moon landing except about 1000 times more sucessful.

No but he's getting the price the orbit down by a factor of ten. Got nasa's cots contracts as well. However he'll likely expands to larger efforts once he gets enough customers. He get that factor of ten to twenty if he recieved a bit more bussiness.
