China and India's current budget are equal to 1/10 th nasa's. There funding is expect to more than double in the next ten years. They both plan to have a man on the moon by 2015.

Add to this they are getting things done for 1/4 the price of NASA.
They don't fear dealth of astronaunts. They have the motivation to improve with real goals.

So within ten years each space agency will be achieving more than the whole of europe.

We can't compete unless we get rid of nasa's dead weight and start getting competitive.

When i was in the service, back in the olden days, we had to study the Russians/Soviets and Chinese equipment.....both of them completly sucked with very rare exceptions, like the MIG's....  Most of the Soviets ships were rust buckets, and their subs had all kinds of issues.  As for the Chinese, that was always the big joke that the only way they could invade the US was to use rowboats to attack Alaska first.

sadly environmentalist lobbies stymied our nuclear programs in the 70's and 80;s and now we are 20 years behind.  they'd rather we burn coal and pollute our air many times more over.
