Schizophrenic - anyone not realize it?

Schizophrenia and Dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder) are not the same thing.

I often think in dialogue but if I spend awhile in a non English speaking country and I start to think in that language then I seem to just have the one voice in my head.

Schizophrenia is not an alternate personality. An alternate personality is referred to as Dissociate Identity Disorder (previously known as multiple personality disorder). People often confuse the two.

One of my friends from school has schizophrenia he's on

meds for it. It's due to all the drugs he was taking so young. He can't tell the difference between what's going on in his head and what's  happening around him. In fact when we see him 'go off in his head' we all yell woooooo or and back in the room. In all serious its a horrible condition and the person he was doesn't even exist anymore,just a shell

Schizophrenia/Schitzo-effective disorder- which is a milder form of SCHIZOPHRENIA, now even though its " not as severe", as Full blown Schizophrenia, BUT in reality, SCHITZO EFFECTIVE DISORDER is still serious. One of my real good friends has SED. The two main symptoms, he told me he has is he Hallucinates, and hear voices. Years ago, he told me when he wasnt on his medications, he would hallucinate, said he would see little midget people, leprachuans, or something like that............crazy.

As for myself though, i truly wonder sometimes, if i have SCHITZOPHRENIA, jeez..........would just be another mental illness to add to my pile.
