Yes, horrible standup. Mediocre wrestling and no fighting spirit.
Nothing more than the overhyped WWE clown with 2 years of real training.
I just watched it. Terrible just terrible.
My observations:
Terrible stand up. Almost makes you wonder if this guy does ANY boxing and any sort of thai or kickboxing at all sparring.
Second, he had zero gameplan. He couldn't even defend himself on his back....you can pretty much watch mma on tv and KNOW when a guy is on top,,PULL HIM IN, GRAP HIS BICEPS..something and explode your hips..something to get him off rhythm so you can get back to your damn feet and at the very least reset things. Don't just turtle the fuk up(he's a full time so he has plenty of time to learn this).
He looked like he had ZERO fights. I feel this was a pathetic defense of his title. Just pathetic. He looked like nothing more than an oversized guy willing to walk through shots and win with attrition hoping the other guy would tire out.
Congrats to Cain. He picked his spots well. I feel when he nulled brock initial take down attempt to start the match he pretty much showed brock this was going to be a long night.
