He and his 16-weeks-pregnant wife went to a women's clinic in Brookline, Mass. for an abortion after discovering that their baby had a congenital deformity with no chance for survival. On their way in, they were confronted by images of dismembered fetuses and two women yelling, "You're killing your unborn baby!" Enraged, Gouveia decided to confront the protesters while his wife was in surgery, and he caught the whole interaction on his cellphone. In an essay for The Good Men Project, he admits to feeling a bit "foolish for getting so heated" in the moment, but who can blame him? Not to mention, any foolishness on his part is overshadowed by the Christian protesters' decidedly un-Christ-like behavior.

The video, which you'll find below, is a reminder that reproductive rights isn't just a women's issue, and Gouveia's essay makes a simple, genderless plea: "If you’re able, stand up to these bullies in nonviolent ways. Speak out. And if you have a camera, use it."

I'm not for abortions in general. what I do know is that many pro lifers think there is absolutely no exception for having an abortion and these are the laws they push for.  That's my main beef.   This guy had a right to be pissed.  It's not like he attacked these women, he just chewed them out.  If they're going to protest people they don't know, nobody should be shocked when a guy like this yells back.

Agreed.  But the father in the video has to realize that out of the 10 people he is sitting with in the waiting room, 9 of them are getting the abortion because it is just not convenient for them,  and almost half of them have been there before.  

This is NOT what the decent hearted liberals were fighting for back in 1973.  

Liberal today need to take a look at what they are defending.  I think both sides get so wrapped up in fighting for an ideology that they forget what they, as individuals really believe in.

I wouldn't personally be for the last one.  I assume you mean teen pregnancy.  I've become a lot more pro life after having a daughter.  I just cant imagine killing a baby without a really serious reason.  But serious, there are a lot of pro lifers that think there is no exception.

Planned Parenthood's website.  Honestly it seems high to me too.  I think Planned Parenthood is trying to make it seem like "everyone is doing it" so they inflate that number.  But in the end I think it just makes it seem worse.  Also almost half of women who get abortions now are have gotten one before so that is probably why the stat seems high.

Sorry,me and my wife would have the baby.My wife would rather die then abort.Her mother had a baby they knew wasnt going to make it,it lived for about 22 minutes and she held untill it passed.You really dont understand what the other side believes just as you accuse me of not knowing your side.
