Back in the day when Scott was at his peak, he was considered to have the best developed arms of his time. He attributed his arm development to what eventually became know as "Scott Curls" on the "Scott Bench" which (if I recall correctly) was developed by Vince Gironda.

Up to that time I don't believe any gym had a "Scott Bench" or whatever it is referred to as today.

For you guys who never met Vince ... he was absolutely against squats as he was convinced that they made the waist bigger and the butt fatter. so Larry had to secretly go elsewhere on leg training days.

Maybe Larry will come on and elaborate on those Vince Gironda days. It was an interesting time within a very small bodybuilding world and nothing like it is today.

Vince also said conventional bench presses were useless for pecs  ::)

I never heard him say that, Narcis, but he did say many a radical thing and some of those radical statements of his proved to be true many years later.... especially his somewhat radical approach to protein in-take.

But no matter what Vince said, everybody listened and it usually became the subject for discussion in every So Cal sweat house.

Ronald overall at his peak has the best overall arm but his tris where nowhere near the level of the rest of his arm...They didn't suck but they weren't great...Arnold is the same way.
