So, even the embodiment of manliness, SUPERMAN, gets remade into a effeminate Supertwink with issues?

Right. the last time I checked, Superman's alter ego is Clark Kent, the embodiment of nerdiness: four-eyed, cowardly, unsure of himself and full of quirks. "Embodiment of manliness". Right.

That is Kal-El's disguise, that is how he fits in, that it could be said, like in Kill Bill 2, that is how he views us...weak, cowardly, full of quirks, needing to always be protected...in a nutshell, how a superior race or culture views another that is deemed "inferior" or weak.

Nope! According to inside sources they are looking for a young, good looking guy with muscle.

But I was told that long before they gave the role to Brandon Routh whom I understand didn't do the Supe any justice.

So it's possible that Supe fans around the world will once more be pissed off.

Hey! This is a great photograph! I don't think I saw that one. Why is Supe drinking at a bar?

And did he buy the house a round? How many of you GetBiggers would have told him to quit the drinking and fly home and sleep it off?

Its from superman 3 with Richard Pryor

http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/crush/superman-gets-a-hipster-makeover/488

Superman has a new look, and the redrawn Man of Steel now more closely resembles a a vampiric Robert Pattinson  >:(
(FUCK YOU DC COMICS) or a sulky member of My Chemical Romance than a hunky matinee idol.

The new Superman will appear in "Superman: Earth One," a graphic novel by writer J. Michael Straczynski and artist Shane Davis that retells the superhero's origin story. While the iconic superhero retains his dark mane and defined six pack, he now has a decidedly more emo vibe -- pale, leaner, and brooding. (No need to get too worked up, Superman loyalists: This new graphic novel series doesn't replace the original comics, but rather will serve as a "reinterpretation" of his younger years.)

he Superhero Universe seems to have been increasingly influenced by what could be termed the "Twilight Effect," as Wonder Woman was given a similarly "edgy" makeover in June when her "bustier and hotpants" were traded out for a blue biker jacket and a trendy new hair style.

In the words of the New York Post, the new Man of Steel "wears hoodies" and "has smoldering eyes"; and as Clark Kent, he wears low-cut pants and skinny ties. So basically Superman has turned into a full-on hipster.

DC Comics co-publisher Dan DiDio described the graphic novel -- in book stores November 2 -- with adjectives more typically used to hype new CW dramas.

"We wanted to tell a story that's hip, sexy, and moody," he said.

Hopefully Jon Hamm -- the front-runner (at least in the eyes of Internet commenters and fanboy director Kevin Smith) for the role of Superman in the upcoming Zack Snyder reboot -- will take note of this development. Now would probably be a good time to invest in some hipster glasses and ironic t-shirts, Jon.

This must be a joke!  I'm not big on the cinema flicks but the Wonder Woman animated movie was excellent.  The ending was hot with her and cheetah girl, and the little black girl saying..."look...it's wonder woman!"  Classic WW is the best.  now...she looks like fucking Rogue from the XMen.

Boycott DC!  >:(

It doesen't matter. The Superman that everyone will ever remember as the real one is Christopher Reeve's version in the 1979 film "Superman: The Film". Christopher Reeves plays a tall, muscular, handsome Superman. That is, he plays Superman as literally a "Superman".
