Naked Body Scanners everywhere!!!
« on: October 27, 2010, 02:34:25 PM »
Holy shit, look at this list :o  It hasn't even been a full year since the underwear bomber (obvious false flag) and look at the production!!!!  They sure kicked into high gear this year.  How long do you think it will be before there are mandatory checkpoints across America where everyone has to be scanned that's driving on that road.  I bet in a few years we see that. Then maybe later you'll have to be scanned at all state borders.  These are going into government buildings already.  How long before we're being naked body scanned to do something as simple as buy licence plates or renew a drivers license?  No conspiracy here, nothing to see, nothing to do with the pesky military industrial complex bs... move along good citizens....

Wait til the first images of naked celebs taken at airport scanners start popping.

It'll be a whole new industry.... I can see RedLight registering the domain name now. www.X-rayporn.com  ;D

There's been a little more bitching about this than some things but not much considering what these things are. the American people's reaction to this shit reminds me of this commercial:

These and similar measures will expand and get more invasive I think. I've seen these scanners at McCarran before they started operating.

When did flying become a right? If you don't like it, don't fly. Problem solved.

Since when is driving a right, if you don't like being porno scanned, don't drive...  In the year 2020: since when is it a right for you to leave your house, if you don't like being porno scanned, we have a mobil unit to come by and scan your ass anyway ;D

I just got done cutting down to around 9% bf. These scanners are the perfect excuse to show it off! Do these scanners show ab veins?

I knew the response to my question about flying being a right would be a sweeping assumption about this being expanded to every facet of our lives.

When you purchased the plane ticket that's when.
C'mon, you have to admit a "No Fly List" it is a ridiculous piece of legislation.

No one is saying someone should have the ability or right to fly a plane, ...but to be a passenger on one?
That's like having a "No Drive List". A list of people barred from ever being a passenger in a car.  ::)

What's next, the "No Junk Food List" ...cause some guy took out an eye tossing a stale twinkie at someone.

I'm quite content knowing the Muslims on that list that would love to blow me out of the sky aren't capable of doing it from a plane flying out of JFK.

You don't have a right to fly on a plane. And by purchasing a ticket, you're pretty much subjecting yourself to the rules of regulations of the airport/airline that you'll be flying out. What a fucking stupid statement.

Isn't it always?

Can you prove that this will be expanded into every facet of our lives? Prove to me that in 20 years they'll be scanning my house.  ::)

Typical fearmongering.

Proof the Porno Scanners Are for Humiliation and Control
Posted by Lew Rockwell on October 24, 2010 10:40 AM
A friend who works at a major American airport writes to say that each day, when he brings in all his equipment, he walks into the secure area after unlocking a door. Period. There is no scanning, no inspection, no guard. All the working guys enter this way. He said he thought of informing the higher-ups, but after pointing out a security breach in the military some years ago, and being stomped on by the officers for his pains, he won’t do it.

Oh, there is one other reason for the naked photo machines: ex-officials like Michael Chertoff and Rudy Giuliani make millions selling them to the TSA.

UPDATE from Matt Wittemann:

I wanted to share my experience from this afternoon to confirm that the porno scanners are only for humiliation and control: I’ve traveled quite a bit this year for work, but so far it has been very easy to avoid the scanners. Many airports still only have one scanner per terminal, so it is quite easy to make sure you get in one of the screening lines that only directs the cattle through metal detectors. Today, I did just that, scooting over to a different screening line at Charlotte Douglas International. A young gentleman ahead of me, who was traveling with a violin, also tried the same tactic. A blue-shirt called him out of the line and tried directing him to the backscatter xray machine, at which point he “opted out.” The blue-shirt made the typical fuss explaining to the man that his choice would mean that he would be subject to a pat down and would likely be delayed. He stood his ground.

As I approached him as I was headed for the metal detector, I congratulated the violinist for standing his ground. This apparently irked the bureaucrat in blue, and she directed me to the porno scanner line myself. Apparently my comment to the violinist showed disrespect for the security apparatus, an offense that the blue-shirt could not abide. She attempted to exert control and make an example of me for speaking up. Of course, I opted out as well, and she launched into her spiel.

I’ve read enough on LRC and elsewhere to know that above all else, we commons must be polite to our oppressors, lest they decide to subject us to greater humiliation and control. When she completed her spiel, and had me stand aside to wait for the male thug, I told her that my family came from Germany after WWII, and that they had seen similar behavior in the 1930s. A police state starts by restricting peoples’ rights to freely travel. The brown shirts in Germany may have thought they were being patriotic and protecting the homeland, too. She did not like the direction my conversation was going and asked if I wanted to tell this to her supervisor, or would I stop talking. I replied that I was just making conversation, was I not allowed to talk to her? After that she avoided eye contact with me as she turned to direct other sheeple towards their irradiation treatment.

She was much relieved when the male patter-down came to escort me to the inspection area. He asked if I wanted to be patted down in private, but I told him I preferred to have witnesses when I was subjected to a search against my will. He asked if I was rejecting the search as he reached for his walkie-talkie to call in his supervisor. I told him I needed to get to L.A., so I didn’t have any choice but to submit to his unconstitutional search. He didn’t like this, and I saw him beckon some of his comrades closer to be ready for trouble. As he proceeded to make himself familiar with my person, I asked him what I was suspected of. He said he was “protecting the flying public.” I told him that my understanding was that the constitution forbade searches of people unless they were suspected of a crime. His response was to point out a sign that said all persons are subject to search. “So the sign overrides the constitution?” I asked. He clammed up. No response to that one.

Indeed a great quote but it has become redundant by amazing arguments such as "Why are you against it? You are either hiding something or you're a terrorist" or "Anything to keep me safe". I think this sort of logic represents a very slippery slope for our liberties and freedoms.

I'm mixed.  Airports-yes, sensitive government agencies - yes, prisons - yes, courthouses - probably not.  It's an interesting list.

But I don't think people have a right to fly.

a lot of people have no choice, unless they want to quit their job or never see their family again.  I suppose we don't have a right to fly but....  i dunno, seems excessive to me.  I don't think they need to see everyone naked to provide security. and these are spreading outside of airports and that will continue.

IMHO it is a direct violation of the 4th Amendment, but hey the government hasn't followed the constitution for the last 150 years

Obama has no respect for e constitution never has, there was an interview he did years ago that popped up again around the election that no one paid attention to. In his opinion the constitution is about negative rights and is fundamentally flawed.

I was at the Salt Lake City airport today.  They had only one body scanner and 3 metal detectors.  Once you passed the TSA guy at the podium you could choose with line to go through and avoid the scanner.
