no one has said anything, but this one girls acts uncomfortable about it...

I workout in an inner city gym and most black "kids" workout shirtless.  They don't even wipe the bench when they are done using it.  One day I went up to one and asked him if he was from San Francisco?  He looked at me like I was crazy.  I said all the gay dudes do that.  He said, "What"?  I said "Workout without a shirt".  He walked away looking even more confused then he started.

I lift in my underwear but a tshirt doesn't bind and piss me off through any movements so it stays on to carry the ipod.  Hate doing squats or deads in shorts.

I would have looked at you strange too.  And the fact that you know what Gay dudes do, would have either come with a beatdown...cause you in essence were calling him gay, or hitting on him. You could have just said, "Dude, can you wipe up behind yourself, you left sweat on the bench? And you might want to lift with a shirt on, because you'll leave sweat on things, otherwise."
Simple, no need to allude to anything.

Did it before at an old "hardcore" gym I used to train at!!!!  No one said anything... and I wasn't the first guy to do it!  Felt like a bad ass!    ;D  Dont think that shit would fly at LA Fitness hahah

Should be able to but the modern gyms are pussy gyms. They don't want you sweating let alone training without a shirt.

Lot of things but just get a paper towel and a spray disinfectant and wipe down when you're done with your sets.

Don't see a problem with it, you get hot, take off your shirt and train....especially outside. Done at non commercial gyms all the time.

No Mr.Parker I was being "considerate". These are the same kids that pose in the mirror thorughout there workout.  You have to realize most of the people that lift in my gym are homeless,smell and have no common sense.  I once bought a bottle of tide for someone, also being considerate, telling them its a new scent-see if you like it. Sometimes you have to be blatant about it. The one time someone left sweat on a bench, I vomited on it.
