Another reason I'm glad it didn't pass is more public intoxication that would in fact cause harm than good. Take a kid on Friday or Saturday night, goes partying with friends combines with alcohol, drives and gets them or someone else killed. I have a kid and knowing that kind of shit is happening (legally) bothers the hell out of me.

Im not fully informed but I believe you still need a medical reason to get pot via the stores that are governement controlled - now obviously there
are ways to trick the system and pretend that you need it but generaly speaking only sick people as in people with aids (who have the aids wasting syndrome and need the munchies) cancer patience
or patience that need it to get their pain under contol and can otherwise only use heavy drugs that have all kind of nasty side effects including damage of their liver and kidneys - these people operate
in the gray areas of the law and could (technically speaking) be charged with drug usage and possession.
For these people the law needs to be changed that they can legally buy and keep their drugs.

Overall since pot was kinda tollerated in CA - CA made a huge money of income tax by these drugs.
