Why are you guys calling Boehner a hyprocrite for supporting TARP and then railing against out of control government spending? That doesnt make any sense. I supported TARP also. I dont support the stimulus, nor do I support any of these other retarded works projects. They are two different things.

Getting worked up won't solve anything.  I just look forward to liberal agenda's in the future.  Hopefully we'll have someone with enough guts to implement a single payer health care, massive emissions caps, lower income taxes with higher consumption taxes, and trade tariffs on countries not meeting similar emissions regulations.

I would have been for TARP if the govt. actually put conditions attached to it.

Like the banks had to be broken up, Glass Steagal had to be re-implemented and on and on.

TARP was not needed.  The Fed already had loaning facilities to be a backstop for lending. 

Additionally, even the TARP watchdog, Neil Barofsky, has said TARP has been abused in many ways.

 Of coarse theres nothing wrong when mega banks hold the country hostage by demanding 700 billion or else threatening to pull the pin on the grenade, even if the big players were largely responsible for the situation they found themselves in. So its ok to believe in free market failure when it comes to car manufacturers that made shitty business decisions but its ok to bailout large banks who were a source for many of their own problems?
