frostwire is still working// It uses the same network as limewire... However, learn how to use torrents They are many great apps on ANdroid like Fildo

I don't use torrents - I think they take too long.
I just go to Filestube and download what I like from there - usually it's in the form of a rar file, just extract using Winrar and bingo. Now and again I'll pay for a Megaupload premium account if there's a lot of stuff I need quickly.

torrentz.com is a torrent search index Mininova, piratebay are great sites for torrents
