Rafael Marquez vs. Juan Manuel Lopez-Nov.6th
« on: November 04, 2010, 08:19:30 PM »
Classic "old dog vs up and comer" match up, and yet another installment of the Mexico vs. Puerto Rico rivalry.  Marquez is one half of the best brother duo's in all of combat sports (forget those giant oafs who rely on being giant coupled with a jab and occasional right).  Lopez has fast hands is a good pressure fighter, but he's just a little too hittable.  Marquez is a about as complete as you can be as far as boxing goes, except he relies on timing instead of hand speed.  I'm going with the old dog in this one, he'll catch Lopez eventually although he may have to weather a storm.

You know what?  you may be right.  Although I find it hard to root against a Marquez brother even if the odds aren't in their favor, normally i pick fights neutrally.  Win or Lose Juanma is getting tagged, I agree with fight of the year possibilty for this one as well.  Speed vs. timing, let's see what wins  :)
