20th century technology was available to every religion in the 20th century, including the Roman Catholic Church.  And again, they are not the ones who murdered millions of innocent people, not even close.  Only Atheist Communists have done that.

Were any of those religions in positions of authority, such as the RCC in the Middle Ages? To implement violence, you have to be able to wield authority; RCC authority+ 20th century tech in the Middle Ages, what do you think would have happened? Hmm...

Communist dictators murdered people mostly for pragmatic reasons such as being opposed by them, they didn't do in the name of 'no god' unless you want to make the claim that atheists who were party to it made it loud and clear that they were killing these people because they believed there was no god?

Your arguments are pure speculation.  Mine are based on facts.  Who cares why they did it?  They were Communists and they were Atheists, and they murdered millions of innocent people.  No one religion comes even close to that.  That's the reality.

Motivation is important. The Nazis were fascists and not explicit atheists, many were practising Christians. They murdered 11+million people; the point I have been trying to make is that rigid ideology, whether religious or secular in nature, produces the same results. If you blindly follow an ideology, you lose the ability to think. This is true of each and every one.

The Catholic Church was also a major facilitator and collaborator of and during Holocaust. Many members had deep connections to the Nazi party.

I'd like people's honest answers.  I won't be judging anyone in what they say and I will listen to and weigh everyone's answers.  This is just for myself, not to make a big issue of.  I won't even reply unless you guys ask me a question.  I would just really like to hear what you guys have to say on the matter.

Should we(America) really give a rats ass if some country in the middle of South American or anywhere turns commie or socialist?

If yes why is it important that we interfere with what they want?

I realise the question is a bit dated having mostly moved on to fighting radical islam but obviously there is still a secondary battleground not as largly talked about.

I don't know its as important as it was during the cold war.  The problem is, if we have interests such our companies mining resources in these nations it does become a problem.

Communism and fascism in their extreme forms are petty much the same. Both are establised through dictatorships.

I don't post here often enough to catch everything here. My basic point is that get enough people riled up and believing in garbage and you get nasty results. Islam is yet another perfect example. The RCC is pretty benign these days, they just try to keep the paedophilia side intact.
