Frank Mir Says Brock Lesnar Needs a Win, Wants Brendan Schaub
« on: November 10, 2010, 06:54:25 AM »
"(A fight against Brock Lesnar) Honestly right now, probably no. Just because the (Shane) Carwin fight, (Lesnar) didn't look all that spectacular. I think a lot of people might have thought that he lost that fight. And then the (Cain) Velasquez fight obviously, Velasquez made (Brock) basically shout 'Stop, Enough, Enough' before he tapped due to strikes and that looked really bad."

"Right now I’m coming a win off of Mirko (Cro Cop), I would maybe like to see me get another win and (Brock) himself redeem himself, so that way it's more relevant to the division. Not just having the third fight for the sake of having the third fight. But having it to where it actually has some substance so that whoever wins will position themselves for a title shot. I think it has a lot more meaning that way."

"Roy Nelson is coming off a loss right now, but Brendan Schaub looked very good against Gabriel Gonzaga. That would be a fight, as far as trying to move forward to solidify myself for a title shot."

I like Schaub and Mir.  It will humble Schaub a little bit, which will be good for him.   Mir is still very much in the HW picture imo.

Velasquez,Lesnar,Dos Santos and Carwin can probably play musical chairs with the title for the next 3 or 4 years, but I don't see anyone breaking into that mix right now...

I might give Mir or Nog a slight chance at beating Dos Santos right now, but it would be very slight.

I'm leaning about 55/45 towards Cain beating JDS
