Nah Zane looks better than 99% of pro bodybuilders, he was the Mr.O so he is used as a referance point.
It could be Nubret or Reeves, it doesn't matter, they represent an idealology that is completely diffeent from modern bodybuilding.
Him being small and people aspiring to his look has jack to do with it. If anything it's far less attainable.
Anybody can get big, absolutely anybody. To look good while not weighing much is entirely down to genetics and structure.
With the right training and supplementation anybody could put on the mass of modern pro bodybuilders.
totally the opposite.
while the physiques might be bigger and have more muscle than they did 20 years ago, bodybuilding has totally regressed in the last 20 years.
just take a look at those worlds championships pics from this year.......now thats old school conditioning and size. they blow away 99% of the pros today.
zane might have been small and 190lbs but the quality of his physique blows away anything today.
your both retarded.

just because the guys who have been winning the olympia (dorian, ronnie, jay) lack symetry and aesthetics, doesnt mean all npc and ifbb bodybuilders do.
like i said, the npc passed up zane 20 years ago with the coming of ray, wheeler, levrone, cormier and company. the past ten years or so some guys have started losing shape at the expense of size, but not everybody-far from it.
list of guys in last years olympia who have better aesthetics than zane (remember, size is a part of aesthetics too, and if two guys have the exact same physique but one is just a little bit heavier muscled, the bigger guy thus has better aesthetics[he will have a more pronounced x frame, v taper, more definition due to bigger muscle bellies, etc]):
Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, Ronny Rockel, Hide Yamagishi, Troy Alves, Edward Nunn, David Henry, Steve Namat
