You are part of the problem if you keep it that hot during the winter time. Your heater must never turn off.....

55. In the few hours when I'm home. living room goes to 70, kitchen 68. Then before bed, my room goes up to 68. Im only heating a couple rooms for a few hours a day, and my heating bill is still close to $300.

This is way cheaper. Once I installed the timers and only had the heat on when I'm home and using the rooms, my bill got cut in half.

I've just moved to a new house and the heating is pissing me off because it rises really quick to the upstairs (as hot air tends to do) but stays freezing cold downstairs. It's like two completely different climates.
