As ridiculous and convoluted as this may appear at first blush to us in NA, ...the woman speaks the truth.
Especially when exchanging business cards with the Japanese. I can't tell you how many conventions I have attended with Japanese delegates, where their impressions after being given a business card by a North American were... shall we say... palpable. If I'm handing a business card to a Japanese person, you better believe I  use the two handed approach. I didn't know this applied to Muslims as well.

Back in 1991, my printer / photocopy place offered brass business cards.
I thought of getting some then, but the best pricing was like $9^.oo a card with a minimum batch of 1000.
Needless to say, ...I passed.
