The F&F movies are so cheesy, it's actually fun to watch... My favorite part is Tokyo Drift, where they didn't have one Japanese actor... all koreans, and chinese... lol...

I love how they shift the gear up 9 times in each race, and how each gear change gives them the edge over the opponent. It was meant to appeal to the masses, and masses won't appreciate a real drag race in a movie.

Alot of the cars in the movies weren't the real cars...I like how they said how much the Buick GNX cost...but that was not a true GNX, it had a chevy 350 in it. I mean it should be called Fast and Fake, just a bunch of ricer kits on cars.

Hollywood hasn't understood yet that these are different countries, LOL.

Don't ask me, they would never cast a French person to play a German Nazi, but they cast Chinese for Japanese Ninja or Geisha every week.

Why not ask in the country where they have been doing Ninja-movies for decades if they have a Ninja??

True, but with Last Samurai the budget was big and it was Tom Cruise, plus they HAD to be historically correct. Quentin T. tends to be a stickler for detail, especially when it comes to such subgenres that Kill Bill exemplified.
I think it revolves around several factors, money, time, budget, and the director being many of them.
