paris was smart guy but his body is overrated

i dont like his weird midsection for example , so many better 200lbs physiques out there

don t know why hes legend?

ideal (better say optimum) to me in case of pro in contest shape would be white 1998 ronnie coleman with strydoms abs rolley winklaars tris and dillets calfes and maybe bob paris' had on his shoulders
maybe you can discuss who had the one or other "best bodypart" but ronnie had the best structure to beginn with
(cavilces could have been 1-2 inch wider)

and still than it would be just 75percent of perfection
Ronnie's structure is no means the best.

density and muscle sweep have nothing to do with structure , you already admitted Ronnie's clavicles aren't wide enough this negates the word perfect

This is the best structure for bodybuilder ever seen in my opinion

6'1" with a 29' waist , super wide clavicles , insane taper , small joints , perfect muscle balance & proportion this is the archetype of what the perfect base should be.

Ronnie's structure was nothing impressive at lower weights. Paris kills him. Ronnie lacks the structure, shape and flow to compete aesthetically with the Zanes, Reeve's, Wheelers.

Anyone remember Brian Bucannon? The dude supposedly had a 25-26 inch waist.

27 inch waist at 210 is damn impressive! But it seems that some "experts" thought that his waist was actually too small, if that's possible? Another small waisted guy was Paul-Jean Guillume

Not sure if you`ve heard of my old training partner Linkie Wilson, but he was good friends with Brian, and at the 1983 NABBA Britain thats the measurement that Brian told him,27 inches,he had to have his trunks pinned in so they would fit. This is a pic from that show.

And he supposedly used to squat with a sh!tload of weight, so there goes the myth of heavy squats causing a thick and blocky waist...

Brian had great shape all around, but his waist was actually TOO small IMO...
And I agree...as far as structure goes, it doesn't get much better than Reeves!

i agree,

he was gifted bodybuilder

but his waist was SO small, it looked freakish..........like he had his torso substituted with the torso of  an 8 year old boy........it just looks structurally unsound

True.  And that is why he's the standard.

Exactly. As I said, I think Brian had great structure overall. Even his legs would have looked very good if he trained them harder and added more size. But that wasp waist was TOO small. Actually looks photoshopped, lol! Can't think of any other bodybuilder I can say that about! Flex had just about the perfect taper, IMO.

Zabo had great abs, but was pretty much the opposite of Brian...hardly any taper at all.
As an aside, Zabo was a great guy with a good sense of humor. Fondly remember bullshitting with him and Eddie at World Gym back in the day...PIP...

That's cool, I think he's actually got the look I'm going for.  He seems to have a wider pelvis or something, I think him and I have a smiler god given build.

As far as one's waist being too small, do you think The Myth's waist was too small? In his early days (the early 70s) it seemed that just one of his thighs was bigger than his waist

Telling  BB that his waist was too small for bodybuilding is like telling John Holmes that his cock was too big for porn  ::).

Surprised no one has mentioned an 82-83 Samir Bannout.

One of the most ideal bodybuilding physiques. There's the right amount of mass
and the guy looked great from any angle. He also had some standout bodyparts too
like his back, triceps and chest.

1st photos are from his facebook page...
