Just wanted to get your opinions on this.  I personally think it's bullshit just like y2k, but you know as it gets closer there will be a ton of coverage.  I think there will be rampant paranoia until the sun rises on december 22 2012

lol. No I don't believe it.  If the Mayans were so smart, shouldn't they have been able to see thier own demise?  I am more worried about terrorists and nut jobs who might try to do something to coincide with that date.

normally I would agree with you, but I remember a ton of people who thought  the world would collapse for y2k.  Probably the same folks who think the bible is more then a great piece of fiction.

no one actually said it was gonna "end" what was written was there will be a Major thing happening. And what that is up to each one to interprit.

And with the recent natural disasters and the recent scienece breakthrough something might happen, what do we know

yeah they sucked the only managed to to create a fully developed written lagnuage, a calander, mapped out space, managed to figure out what to do with crops, built temples without metal tools, created a number system which included "0" , insane architecture etc etc

Im guessing probably a plauge wiped them out. Or maby what happend to the romans, the older innovative generation died out and generation nothingness ruined it all

Their perspective is that Dec 21, 2012 is the tipping point, that by that point the majority of the Earth's population will have to have come to the understanding that we need to live in harmony with the earth to survive.
