I don't agree that this is a federal matter at all.  The US Government shouldn't be involved in this, it's a state, city issue. However i do believe in the banning of using hand held cellphones whilst driving.  Using bluetooth, handsfree etc is the only way one should be able to operate a cellphone whilst driving unless in an emergency.  There are too many distracted drivers as it is for states to ignore this issue is foolish.

I'm sort of torn on this issue as I'm a firm believer people should stop being distracted and pay attention to the fucking road.  But where is this supposed to end?  Banning make up in cars? How about banning food and drinks?  How about banning radios that require you to manually change the station?  Banning construction on the side of the road?  Banning billboards?  Banning hot chicks from walking down the sidewalk?
