Hey man.  Have you heard anything about slow download speeds from fileserver or megaupload?  Or about rapidshare being hard to access?

I'm currently pulling 2 kb/s from megaupload on a Michelangelo lecture series.  I got half from fileserver but then it started hitting me with a new capcha every 2 minutes.  ???  At this rate I'll have gone to Florence and returned before it's done, haha.

Just curious if it's going around or if my ISP is throttling me.

I know I'm not Kiwi .. but just wanted to say I had some issues yesterday for awhile .. megaupload was stalling right and left .. and rapidshare denied me access like 6 times ...  :-\

Rapidshare has been giving me 'Please stop flooding our servers' message on JDownloader.  I just reset the file and now it's going ok.  Weirdest thing of all is that the parallel megaupload file is coming through faster now that the rapidshare dl is running alongside it.  ???

Great program btw.  Saves heaps of time.

I think Ron probably shrunk the size of members' inboxes again - I had room in there a few hours ago.

Anyway, I haven't heard or had any issues with any file hosting sites, including the ones you've mentioned. If you use the free download, a couple of them do go a bit slow during peak hours. See if you can stream videos from YouTube or another site normally, or do a speed test and see if it's your ISP.

Other sites seem ok so I figured it must be the hosts cracking down on free DLs or some Aussie anti DL thing.  I keep waiting for the day I log on and find all the candy stores closed.

Getbig is getting a little buggy with me these days tho.  Just got a 'can't display' page.  Someone tell Ron to quit chewing on the cables.

I can't decipher when the "peak times" would be .. it's always 5 o'clock somewhere yeah ?  ;)  .. and omg yes .. youtube kept stopping to buffer like crazy when I was on there too .. it took nearly 10 minutes to watch a 3 minute video .. grrrr ..  >:(
