You should know the speech he would give a year later would be even worse for Obama.  Yes, this is over a year old, he made this early in Obama's first year before anyone who voted for him started turning against him.  And it is spot on today with what he said back then.

What's troubling is the fact  she did not know anything regarding the geography of the Korean Peninsula during the 08 campaign , so to say this was a slip of the tongue does not add up, it is lack of knowledge in my opinion, and Beck helped her because he probably cringed when he realised what she said.Bottom line the woman is freakin clueless and this is a pretty major gaffe to make for a serious politician who's trying to present himself/herself as our next President.

Lets face it - many people voted FOR Obama for the "wrong" reasons.

They wanted a "brother" in the white house (Whassup Big Mal! )
They wanted someone who brought "change"
They wanted an outsider.
They wanted a "cool" guy for once.

These people will vote GOP if the GOP are able to find a candidate who fits the description. You know this.

Lets say Denzel Washington would run as a GOP candidate. He would get lots of these fan boy votes in an instant.

It's similar to some of the votes that Sarah Palin get.

Hedge I think those are all peripherals. I think people voted for Obama for two reasons:

1) He wasn't Bush or Mccain, and no one wanted that Palin creature within a stone's throw of the WH

2) He made them believe he was the right man who would effect the change that was needed.

No, we did not want a brother in the white house, at that time we didn't give a fucking shit, we were ready for the best choice that would be opposite of what Bush had given us.  That was Obama... for the most part it had nothing to do with race.  Yes I know there were people that voted on their race or for his race but I spent so much time with so many people talking to so many during that time that I can say this was not the end factor....  Not remotely so...

I do admit, some idiots vote for the "cool guy" but many do not and the cool factor was not with me and many I know.  Yet I do admit, there are many idiots that show up to the polls and vote on the "cool guy"  But keep in mind that those type of people don't go to the polls as much as people who are paying attention and care about our process....  So I do not think they are the majority.

I had trouble believing the reports from the McCain camp about Palin being totally uneducated.

But this "stand with our North Korean allies" spectacle makes me think maybe there is some truth to what they claimed.

I doubt you would get Giuliani or McCain speaking about North Korea, or even George W Bush as an ally.
