If only Michelle Obama would just leave these poor teabaggers alone.  Get off their back allow these individuals to exercise their our own God-given rights to make our own decisions and then our country gets back on the right track.

Why won't Michelle Obama allow these freedom loving tea baggers to exercise their God Given right to eat themselves to death

Isn't that what made America great??

Who cares if a recent report UnitedHealth Group's Center for Health Reform and Modernization, estimates that 52 percent of the adult population will have diabetes or prediabetes in 10 years. Treating that population will cost an estimated $3.35 trillion, the report says

The larger problem is still that the Michelle Obama would like children to eat more fruit

If that's not a communist agenda then I don't know what is

If we don't WAKE UP and stop the Obama communist agenda we'll only have ourselves to blame when we're all forced to pick apples in state run orchards and die as slave laborers in the state run vegetable farms

If people want to eat themselves to death - why get in the way?

Less medicare, less ss to pay out, etc?

LESS MEDICARE?

Um, WTF?

Picture the chronically obese person who spends 25 years battling heart disease, diabetes, gout, etc.

You think he's CHEAPER overall cost to the system, than a HEALTHY person?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me this is not your belief, dude.

McD offers the option of getting apple slices (called apple dippers) in happy Meals.

You get them white milk, apple dippers, and a 4-piece mcnugget, and it's not too bad for them.  It's not broiled chicken breast and asparagus, mind you, but it sure beats a cheeseburger, fries and Sprite.

So you can make better choices based upon their menu - and it's commendable when leaders work to educate people on the importance of taking care of themselves with a clean diet.

I would LOVE for 33 to explain how a healthy person (who works and does not spend their life in doctors clinics and being underproductive) costs the system MORE - than a person who spends 30 years visiting the doc twice a week for a shitload of meds and doesn't work to full capacity as a result.

I think he might take this one back quickly lol- or it's going to be one of those "WTF" moments like 57 states or our allies in N korea - something that is used over and over to illustrate poor thinking process (only if he digs in and defends this position)

People are not eligble for medicare until 65 right?    Medicade is a whole other matter and most of the people on that are well . . . . I'll leave that alone for now.

So if someone is an obese slob and dies at 70 y/o - we save money overall vs the old battle ax on medicare and ss until 99 y/o.

why ignore Medicade.

you're eligible if you're low income and suffer from blindness or are disabled.

what are some of the results of diabetes:  blindess ( leading cause of new cases of blindness in adults 20 -74) and chronic diabetes can easily lead to be classifed as disabled.

Ignoring all that I'm sure you won't bitch and moan when your insurance premiums go up because of the increased cost of diabetes

Again - the MUCH BIGGER danger to our country and our freedom is that Michelle Obama SUGGESTS that you might want to eat some more fresh fruit and veggies and get off your fat ass ( or scooter) and move around a little bit

I have a buddy who works for a drug company and has told me some of the scams run via medicade and you would be SHOCKED.

This is all in the South Bronx.   They have scams Straw that would even shock you.

If it were me - I would start work farms and make these fat pigs on govt assistance show up and work.    If you don't show up - FUCK YOU - no food stamps, no medicade, nothing - tough.

No - what I would do is transform the food stamp program into a farm program.

Let these fat slobs in the bronx, brooklyn, queens, etc learn how to grow food, work a farm etc and the food is used to feed others who cant feed themselves.

No more food stamps - you get potatos, rice, beans, cucumbers, pumpkins etc.

FUCK THESE WELFARE PIGS!    Let them earn their keep.  No one has a right to my paycheck because they are too lazy to work in Mickey D's etc.

Blah Blah and more Blah. You want to sit here and rail about this, yet you ignore the fact the government at the federal level has no fucking constitutional authority to be involved in the first place. You want the answer? You are responsible for your own health care, the government doesn't collect money and no longer sets up the insurance industry with a monopoly. You want to eat yourself to death, more power to ya, only in my scenario it only affects you and not every other person who has been pushed into the fucked up HMO scheme.

There seems to be some disconnect with the people in this country about a little thing called personal responsibility.

I'm surprised anyone survived, how did any one manage to have kids or get surgery before 1973? Thank god the government stepped in and saved us all ::)

Great idea comrade
While you've got them in labor camps you can give them some state sponsored indoctrination.
Eventually you can expand the program and make it mandatory for everyone

says who?

the government underwrites health care in this country and also has a vested interest in having a healthy population

clearly Americans are still free to exercise their right to eat like shit, get fat and suffer all the consequences of their choices but that doesn't mean the government doesn't have an interest in trying to keep them healthy by educating them to hopefully make better choices

Every American knows that eating fast food is bad for you, we don't need the government spending millions maybe even billions to tell us that eating Big Mac's is bad.

None of this "government intervention" is needed nor is it shedding any light on anything.

Further and more importantly, it's simply not the governments job to do anything like this, advise, encourage or whatever you want to call it...it's simply not their job. They have a very specific job outlined with exactly what they're supposed to do...beyond that their is nothing.

I don't know what you mean by "government intervention" .... are we still talking about Michelle Obama or maybe we should go back to JFK or even Eisenhower who established the President's Council on Youth Fitness with Executive Order 10673, issued on July 16, 1956.

palin is such a retard i can't believe she even said that.  Exercise programs are a universal good supported by any physician to help promote a healthier America.  I can not even believe you're supporting her in the slightest, it just shows how delusional you are.
